Dr. Bamidele O. Oyekanmi –PhD (Leeds), MCIRP, F.Inst.F.T.,CPEng is the Founder , Chairman and CEO of AMEXUM Corporation. Born in Kafanchan but with origins in Ilesa, Osun State and Offa, Kwara State of Nigeria, He is a visionary leader , an Inventor and an Entrepreneur with many year s as a Technocrat with Government, and in Technical Leader ship roles in Manufacturing and Advanced Technology Development, in Public and Private Enterprises . He is an Engineering graduate of the Universities of Ife, Nigeria, Sheffield and Leeds, in the UK. He is a Fellow of the International Institute of Forging Technology , a Corporate Member of the International Academy for Production Engineering Research, among several Professional affiliations . He is the President and CEO of EMMASC Services Inc., an Engineering Materials Manufacturing Consulting firm in Michigan, prior to founding AMEXUM Corporation. Dr. Oyekanmi loves the Lord and is blessed with many children. His humane thoughts and empathy for his people provided the driving force to further develop the natural resources to benefit the large populace, while ameliorating the perennial hardship associated with the scar city of the refined products , at the same time adding value to what has been exported ordinarily as crude.
Amb. Ibrahim Auwalu,––AMEXUM CORPORATION- EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS & PUBLIC RELATIONS, is a 1980 Political Science graduate of Bayero University, Kano, Nigeria. He worked briefly (for one-and-half year s) as an administrative officer in the Kano State, Nigeria, civil service. Since then, he has been in the diplomatic service of his country (Nigeria) for 25 year s. After under going the requisite training in the Nigerian foreign service , he rose “through the rank s” to become Nigeria’s Consul-General in New York, USA. Before then, he was assigned various responsibilities that enabled him to: i) while in Nigeria, served in strategically relevant departments that enabled him to meet and deal with a lot of key Government functionaries; and ii) while on postings outside his country he, among others handled Nigeria’s trade & investment desk s in the countries that he served. He was thus able to gather a lot of experience in bringing foreign investments into Nigeria to a successful close.
Dr. Philip O. Akinyemi –B.Sc., M.E, PhD- is a Board member of Amexum Corporation. He was born in Iyah- Gbedde of Kogi State, Nigeria. Dr Akinyemi served in a leadership role at Ford Motor Company as a Technical Expert in Manufacturing Engineering. In his fifteen years career with Ford Motor Company, he worked in various positions as a product engineer, a manufacturing engineer, and a certified six sigma BB. Before joining Ford Motor Company in January 1992, Dr. Akinyemi served as a project engineer with Engineering Analysis Inc, where he did consulting assignments for General Motor Company and Ford Motor Company in computer-aided engineering. Dr. Akinyemi is no stranger to teaching profession. He was a lecturer at Kaduna Polytechnic for ten years, and also served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Detroit Mercy, USA. He received his B.S., M.E. and Doctorate degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Detroit. He also has a master’s degree in Theological Studies from Michigan Theological Seminary, USA. His motivation in joining Amexum Corporation is his passion to give back to the land of his nativity, as well as be a paragon in leadership that will bring an end to the dearth of refined hydrocarbon products and power generation in Nigeria and other parts of the world. He and his wife Rachel are blessed with five children and two grandsons.
Ntufam Fidel Ugbo (Esq.) has BSc, MSc, LLB, BL, PNM, MNIM and FIDR. He retired from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in the Executive cadre. He was a Commissioner for Finance and also Secretary to the Government of Cross River State, Executive Secretary National Planning Commission and Secretary, National Economic Council at the Presidency. His experiences therefore span from a tutor, a Central Banker, an administrator, a public servant and currently a practicing lawyer/Alternative Dispute Resolution Practitioner. He has also served in several Government Agencies and parastatals at both State and Federal levels either as Chairman or Board member to which he made effective contribution to the growth of these agencies and Parastatals. He served concurrently as Executive Secretary of Nigeria’s National Planning Commission and Secretary, Nigeria’s National Economic Council in the Presidency. In these capacities, he effectively coordinated Nigeria’s National Integrated Infrastructure Master Plan as well as the National Mid-Term Report of the administration under which he served.
Sunny A. Ebegbuzie-BA, MA-, is a Board member of Amexum Corporation and Director of Administration. He was born in the city of Lagos and is a native of Issele-Uku, Delta State. He studied at the University of Alberta in Edmonton Alberta Canada where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Humanities with specialty in Sociology of Organizations. He also attended the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada for his graduate studies and earned the Master of Arts Degree specializing in Industrial Sociology with a raw thesis option titled Managers in Modern Industrial Organizations – A Study of the Effects of Technological Advancement, Bureaucratization, and Union Activity on Managerial Autonomy. This passion for Management plus a heightened entrepreneurial spirit led to the ownership and management of food marketing and distribution, financial and real estate management, and media production and marketing companies in the USA and Canada in the last 30 years. His involvement with Amexum from inception has always been propelled by the knowledge that the efficient local production, marketing and distribution of energy in Nigeria and Africa, currently dominated and controlled by foreign interests, belong in the hands of visionary and dedicated Nigerians driven by the goals of truly giving back to community, and providing lasting jobs and economic development in Nigeria and Africa. In 1981, he obtained a Master of Arts degree in Public Administration and a B.Sc in Business Administration and Accounting both from Kentucky State University; and a MBA (Finance) from New York Institute of Technology in 1983.His lecturing career spanned over 33 years as an Adjunct Associate Professor Medgar Evers College of The City University, New York. Professor Okunubi has garnered over 40 years banking experience in various capacities at several banks and wall street investment firms including Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan Chase Bank, Bankers Trust Company of NY and The Bank of N.Y. He also worked as Financial Operations Controller, Fiscal Director and Assistant VP Finance in the financial institutions including the following companies: Morgan Stanley, Lehman Brothers, Shearson American Express Co., and Goldman Sachs, N.Y. He is the Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of GIG Management lnc. (USA) and GIG Global Concept LTD (Nigeria), a financial management consulting and real estate investment / development firm from 1997 till present. A very skillful and talented financial professional, he had successfully negotiated and closed investment deals worth several million dollars both national and on international levels.
